- Large fibreglass laminates
- Hull and deck repairs
- Transom rebuilding
- Stringer reinforcement
- Marine composite fabrication
- Vacuum bagged laminates
- Resin infusion projects
Why Choose EpoxyPro EP1540B Fast Hardener?
Fast Cure Performance
EP1540B is formulated to provide rapid curing for marine, composite and industrial laminating applications where faster turnaround is required. Its fast-reacting formulation reduces waiting time between laminating and finishing, making it ideal for smaller laminates, repairs and cooler workshop conditions.
Excellent Fibre Wet-Out
The low-viscosity system rapidly penetrates fibreglass, carbon fibre, aramid (Kevlar®) and other reinforcement fabrics, providing excellent resin flow, complete fibre saturation and strong, lightweight composite laminates.
Versatile Processing
Suitable for wet lay-up, vacuum bagging, resin infusion, resin transfer moulding (RTM), contact pressure moulding and filament winding, EP1540B delivers reliable performance across a wide range of marine and composite manufacturing processes.
High Structural Performance
When combined with EpoxyPro EP1510A Epoxy Resin, the system develops excellent mechanical strength for structural marine components and composite parts operating under both static and dynamic loading conditions.
Ambient Cure & Post Cure
The system develops excellent handling strength after curing at ambient temperature. For optimum mechanical properties and thermal resistance, a post cure above 50°C is recommended.
Marine Durability
Designed for demanding marine and industrial environments, the fully cured system provides excellent moisture resistance and long-term durability with a recommended service temperature range of -60°C to +80°C.
Typical Applications
- Boat building
- Hull and deck repairs
- Fibreglass laminating
