EpoxyPro EP1520B 3:1 Standard Marine Hardener
Standard Marine Wet Lay-Up Hardener
EpoxyPro EP1520B is a standard-curing marine epoxy hardener developed for boatbuilding, fibreglass laminating and composite marine construction. Designed to provide an extended working time compared with fast hardeners, it offers excellent fiber wet-out, high laminate strength and reliable processing for larger marine laminating projects. When combined with EpoxyPro EP1520B, the system delivers outstanding adhesion, durability and mechanical performance for hulls, decks, transoms, stringers and structural marine repairs. Suitable for hand lay-up, resin infusion, vacuum bagging and other marine composite manufacturing processes.
Why Choose EpoxyPro EP1520B Standard Hardener?
Balanced Working Time
EP1520B is formulated to provide an ideal balance between working time and curing speed, making it suitable for everyday marine laminating, composite fabrication, and structural bonding. It provides sufficient time for accurate fibre wet-out and laminate consolidation while maintaining efficient production times.
Excellent Fibre Wet-Out
The low-viscosity system rapidly penetrates fibreglass, carbon fibre, aramid (Kevlar®), and other reinforcement fabrics, delivering excellent resin flow, complete fibre saturation, and lightweight, high-strength composite laminates with minimal air entrapment.
Versatile Processing
Suitable for wet lay-up, vacuum bagging, resin infusion, resin transfer moulding (RTM), contact pressure moulding, and filament winding, EP1520B provides reliable performance across a wide range of professional composite manufacturing applications.
High Structural Performance
When combined with EpoxyPro EP1510A Epoxy Resin, the system develops excellent mechanical strength for structural marine components and composite parts operating under both static and dynamic loading conditions.
Ambient Cure & Post Cure
The system develops excellent handling strength after curing at ambient temperature. For optimum mechanical properties and improved thermal resistance, a post cure above 50°C is recommended.
Marine Durability
Designed for demanding marine and industrial environments, the fully cured system provides excellent moisture resistance, long-term durability, and a recommended service temperature range of -60°C to +80°C.
