Updated on Mar 21, 2025

Don’t panic—most epoxy resin mistakes are fixable with the right techniques.

Tacky or Soft Spots:

  • Likely caused by improper mixing or cold temps.

  • Scrape off uncured areas and sand down, then re-pour a thin fresh layer.

Surface Dust or Debris:

  • Lightly sand the surface and recoat with a flood coat.

Bubbles After Cure:

  • Sand the area smooth and apply a new topcoat.

Uneven Finish:

  • Use sanding and polishing techniques to level.

Fixing Color Issues:

  • If pigment or ink didn’t disperse evenly, sanding and a recolored top layer can help.
