CALCOFILL HP80 Calcium Carbonate Filler
CALCOFILL HP80 High-Performance Calcium Carbonate Filler
CALCOFILL HP80 is a high-purity, double-coated calcium carbonate filler designed for use with epoxy resins, polyurethane systems and a wide range of polymer and industrial applications.
With high whiteness, low oil absorption and excellent dispersion, CALCOFILL HP80 is ideal for increasing bulk, controlling viscosity and improving the consistency of filled resin systems. Its fine particle distribution allows it to incorporate smoothly into resin while producing a dense, uniform mixture.
The double stearic-acid surface treatment improves compatibility with polymer systems and assists dispersion, making CALCOFILL HP80 particularly suitable for epoxy compounds, potting systems, adhesives, repair compounds, casting systems and general-purpose filled formulations.

Mixing with Epoxy Resin
Add CALCOFILL HP80 gradually to the resin while mixing thoroughly to achieve an even dispersion. Increasing the filler loading will progressively increase the body and viscosity of the mixture.
Lower additions can be used where increased solids and moderate viscosity adjustment are required, while higher loadings can produce dense, heavily filled compounds suitable for casting, bonding, potting and repair applications.
For high filler loadings, a suitable high-torque mechanical mixer or disperser is recommended. Avoid excessive mixing speeds that may introduce unnecessary air into the formulation.
CALCOFILL HP80 can also be used alongside other fillers such as fumed silica when additional thixotropy, sag resistance or paste consistency is required.
