EpoxyPro EP4030 Ultra Clear Deep Pour Epoxy Resin System 3:1

EpoxyPro EP4030 Deep Pour 3:1 is a premium-grade, ultra-slow curing epoxy resin system formulated specifically for deep casting and river table applications. This two-part system delivers a crystal-clear, glass-like finish with exceptional optical clarity, self-degassing bubble release, and advanced UV resistance.

Engineered for large-volume pours up to 100 mm deep in a single pass under ambient conditions, EP4030 prevents thermal runaway, exotherm shrinkage, and cracking. Once fully cured, it provides high mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and surface heat tolerance up to 90°C—making it both beautiful and practical for functional furniture surfaces.

Key Features

  • Ultra-Deep Pour Capacity: Cast up to 100 mm deep in a single layer under controlled ambient conditions (18–25°C).
  • Crystal-Clear Optical Finish: High-transparency formula with natural air-release properties for a bubble-free finish.
  • UV Inhibitor Technology: Advanced anti-yellowing additives preserve clarity over natural timber tones.
  • Heat & Chemical Resistance: Cured surface tolerates hot cups and plates up to 90°C with excellent resistance to household spills.
  • Low Exotherm Reaction: Slow heat dissipation ensures zero thermal cracking, warping, or foam entrapment in deep sections.
  • Substrate Bond Strength: Tenacious adhesion across natural hardwoods, softwoods, timber slabs, and silicone moulds.

Ideal Applications

  • Resin river tables, live-edge slabs, and custom timber furniture
  • Large-volume artistic castings, encapsulated objects, and timber void filling
  • Silicone mould projects requiring ultra-clear depth and zero air bubbles
  • Deep timber inlays, knot hole fills, and structural feature slab casting

Mixing & Processing Specifications

  • Mix Ratio: 3 parts Resin : 1 part Hardener (by volume)
  • Working Time / Pot Life: 6–8 hours @ 25°C (extended window for thorough degassing)
  • Cure Schedule: Demould in 48–72 hours; full mechanical cure in 7 days
  • Recommended Workspace Temp: 18–25°C with low relative humidity
💡 Pro Tip for Deep Casting:

Always measure accurately by volume and pour in a temperature-controlled environment (18–25°C). Seal raw timber edges with a thin brush coat of EP4010 prior to deep pouring to prevent air bubbles escaping from porous wood grain during cure.
