EP4030 Deep Pour Timber & Wood Filling Epoxy is an ultra-clear, slow-curing 3:1 epoxy resin system designed specifically for deep filling and casting applications in timber and woodwork.
The slow-curing formulation provides excellent penetration, flow and air release when filling large voids, knots, cracks and cavities in timber. It is ideal for furniture makers, woodworkers and joiners requiring a clear, high-strength epoxy for deeper sections where standard coating or repair epoxies are unsuitable.
Once cured, EP4030 produces a hard, durable and clear finish that can be sanded, machined and finished along with the surrounding timber.

Mix Ratio & Working Time
Mix Ratio: 3 parts resin : 1 part hardener by volume
Working Time: 6–8 hours at approximately 25°C
Cure Time: Dependent on temperature, pour depth and total volume
Application Recommendations
Timber should be clean, dry and free from dust, oils, waxes and other contaminants before application.
For porous or highly absorbent timber, sealing the surface first with EP4010 Low Viscosity Timber Epoxy can help reduce air release from the timber and minimise bubbles entering the deep pour.
Accurately measure EP4030 at the specified 3:1 ratio by volume and mix thoroughly before pouring. Pour depth and cure time will vary depending on ambient temperature, casting volume and timber geometry.
For very large voids or high-volume pours, staged pours may be required to control heat build-up and achieve the best finish.
Always measure accurately by volume and pour in a temperature-controlled environment (18–25°C). Seal raw timber edges with a thin brush coat of EP4010 prior to deep pouring to prevent air bubbles escaping from porous wood grain during cure.
